RCNY enjoyed a wonderful luncheon at Consulate NYC Restaurant - arranged by our new member Katherine Polynchuk
Food Education Fund is a New York City-based 501(c)(3) providing public high school students with the knowledge, skills, and network they need to transform their futures.
"Most of the students we work with live in underserved communities. Almost all are students of color. New York’s world-class hospitality industry is at their doorstep, but they have far too little access to the professional opportunities it offers.
At FEF, we’re changing that. We host a range of programs that connect students with industry leaders, invite them into the city’s most acclaimed eateries, and provide hands-on training experiences.
These initiatives reach hundreds of students each year, setting them up for success in diverse fields. FEF alumni have gone on to thrive in top-tier hospitality and culinary higher education programs, prestigious NYC eateries, leading media marketing roles, and more.
Our work creates pathways to life-changing careers while fostering confidence and connection. Because hospitality is about service to others—and this is how we serve our community."
The presentation was extremely well received by all.
