Dancing, Games, Indian Food

The Rotary Club of Metro NYC put this great fundraising event together with the gracious and generous organizer Nadine Homann. The Rotary Club of New York collaborated and the spectacular garden and pool setting was enjoyed by many Rotarians, friends and guests while they were savoring authentic Indian street-food and drinks. They danced to the latest Bollywood tunes, and got some dance lessons, participated in the typical Indian Carrom game and many got their own custom Henna designed - and all this fun for was for a great cause! This year’s event focused on "Water and Sanitation" with a goal of providing tube-wells, public toilets and showers to economically deprived, rural villages in West Bengal, India. Many Rotaractors offered their volunteer help to make this event run smoothly.

Following the day, it was announced that after the Matching Grant from RI the funds raised will be around $200,000. Rotary job well done!
