President Shawn and Board Director Alexander mingling with our Rotarian friends in Vienna Austria
On a recent visit to Vienna, Shawn Jacobaccio, President of the Rotary Club of New York—the Host Club of America—had the distinct honor of attending the Rotary Club of Wien’s 100th anniversary celebration. The prestigious event took place at the historic Palais Liechtenstein, a magnificent setting befitting a century of service and fellowship.
President Jacobaccio was warmly welcomed among international dignitaries and Rotarians, as he joined in recognizing the remarkable legacy of Austria’s oldest Rotary club. During the evening, he delivered a (very) brief yet heartfelt congratulatory message, highlighting the enduring bond between the New York and Vienna clubs and the shared values that unite Rotarians across the world.
In a symbolic gesture of friendship and mutual respect, President Jacobaccio presented his personal Rotary Club of New York lapel pin to Rotary Club of Wien President Andreas Blaschke. The exchange marked a meaningful moment of international Rotary unity and a celebration of service that transcends borders.
This centennial celebration not only honored the past but also reaffirmed the global spirit of Rotary and the enduring partnership between two of its most historic clubs.
