Stephan Bognar is the Executive Director of the New York Dermatological Group Foundation, one of the leading health organizations in the U.S. delivering humanitarian medical assistance to vulnerable and marginalized groups across the globe. His extensive experience (25 years) working on global development projects has helped shaped the foundation’s public health and human rights projects. Prior to joining NYDGF, Stephan Bognar worked (CEO) for the Maddox Jolie Pitt Foundation-dedicated to fighting rural poverty and environmental injustices across Southeast Asia.

Stephan’s work in global development included: food and nutritional security, environmental security, rural health care, gender empowerment and inclusion, sports, and education. His work in post-conflict zones also contributed to building a culture of dialogue amongst different groups and moving sensitive and difficult topics – such as conflict resolution, purposeful leadership and human rights for all – into the public sphere.

• 2019 Recognition Award by US House of Representatives for work in humanitarian affairs
• Appreciation Award by Office of Manhattan Borough President City of New York for working with vulnerable kids.
