Dave Messics is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in both conservation and non-profit management. With a solid foundation in fundraising, Dave has helped many organizations expand their mission by providing solid leadership, navigating the complexities of not only meeting payroll, but exceeding fundraising goals allowing for impactful program expansion.
 
Dave graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Science and a minor in Environmental Resource Management in 1987. In 2010, Dave earned his Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credentials. Over the last 40 years, Dave has led fundraising efforts for a diverse group of non-profit organizations, all in the non-profit sector, mostly in the conservation arena.
 
Beyond fundraising, Dave has a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoys flyfishing, birdwatching, camping, and is personally involved in a myriad of local conservation efforts. This passion aligns with his life-long involvement in organizations dedicated to wildlife and environmental stewardship.
 
As a speaker at the New York City Rotary Club, Dave will share insights on waterfowl management and conservation. Dave will highlight the history of Delta Waterfowl, which traces its roots back to 1911 right here in New York City. His broad knowledge and passion to share his conservation ethic makes him a valuable ambassador to the conservation community.
