Our legendary Rotary club, in partnership with the other Manhattan Rotary clubs, made it possible for Santa to have his wonderful annual visit in East Harlem. Over 2,000 toys were handed out last Thursday at Fraternitê Notre Dames’ Mary House on 1st Ave and East 117th st. Although It was the coldest and windiest day of the year, the long line was festive with laughing children and smiling mom’s while sipping home-made hot cocoa and horchata. The children in the neighborhood received a beautiful gift-wrapped toy and got to take a picture with Santa. One of our newest members, Cynthia Paulino, enthusiastically spent the afternoon as one of Santa’s elves.
