Holiday Toy drive and party

The Rotary Club of New York has been sponsoring Harlem Toy Drive for more than 20 years. Any member who would like to purchase a toy in partnership with sisters of Fraternite Notre Dame at E. 119th St. and 1st Avenue . Santa will distribute toys to more than 3,000  children , The children and their moms can take a picture with Santa. It is a very festive occasion with the children’s and their moms lining up around the block.

 

All Rotary members are welcome to stop by.  With the other Rotary clubs that have joined our team, including  the Metro Rotary club, which is an offshoot of our legendary club, Rotaract of the United Nations,(who are college age civic minded professionals who eventually become Rotarians)   which was chartered by the club of New York approximately 20 years ago. Also this year  Rotaract of Manhattan, is participating and helping  to donate toys for  children of the East Harlem community area.  Santa will visit Harlem  on December 23rd at 2 pm till it is dark, Our club will provide sound system for  Christmas carols to be played while the sisters are handing out hot cocoa and home made cookies to the kids on line. 

 

The Rotary club of Metro New York, is hosting a Christmas holiday party and all Manhattan Rotarians  are invited and encouraged to bring unwrapped toys,. No electronics please,

 

The party is on December 11 from 6 pm to 9pm at Long Acre Tavern  146 w 47th in NYC.
