Specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology
DG Eric is a specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology. He graduated from the Medical School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995. Upon completion of his internship, he joined the Department of Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Tuen Mun Hospital as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. In 2009, he established his own Specialists Clinic and currently serves as a director of the clinic.
DG Eric was inspired by the Rotary Values and joined Rotary Club of Peninsula in RID 3450 in 2010. He served as a Club President from 2013 to 2015 for two terms. One of the most impressive programs he led was the "Dream Come True" project, which was a joint effort across multiple Rotary Areas. Rotarians reached out to disabled and underprivileged young people, and shared with them skills, ranging from dancing, playing musical instruments to performing magic.
Eric also led a Vocational Training Team to Mongolia in 2015, with a mission to train local doctors in orthopaedic operations, and to perform surgery for children with inborn hip and foot problems.
Before he takes on his current role as District Governor, he served as District Strategic Planning Committee Chair (RY 2019/20), District Secretary for Area 9 in Mongolia (RY 2018/19), Rotaract Support Fund Chair (RY 2018/19), Assistant Governor (RY 2017/18), and Chairman of the 4th Rotary Hong Kong Ultramarathon (RY 2017/18).
