The Rotary Club of New York is pleased to host a special evening dedicated to addressing food insecurity through community collaboration and innovation.
On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6:30 PM, the Rotary Club of New York, in partnership with Food Sospeso, will present a new community-driven initiative designed to connect restaurants, community organizations, and public partners in delivering prepaid meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity across New York City.
The Food Sospeso Initiative, developed with the support of the Rotary Club of New York, creates a simple yet powerful model: community members donate prepaid meals through participating restaurants, and trusted community organizations coordinate the delivery of meals to those in need. This transparent, partnership-based approach strengthens local businesses while directly supporting vulnerable populations.
This special evening will bring together:
• Restaurant owners and hospitality leaders
• Community organizations serving individuals and families in need
• Government representatives and public service leaders
• Rotary members and invited guests
• Philanthropic partners and supporters
Attendees will learn how their organizations can participate in this growing citywide effort and explore opportunities for collaboration that expand access to nutritious meals throughout New York City.
