Andrew Corley believes in empowering communities through mutual partnerships, cultural competence, and equity for all. Through Andrew's leadership, the Sioux Y continues strengthening their impact through their strong and trusted roots with the community for over 140 years. In 2007, Andrew joined the YMCA movement in Boston, MA and continued to leverage his commitment by relocating to the Sioux Y in 2014. Being globally minded is an asset Andrew brings to his remote Y and has since graduated from the World Alliance YMCAs program "Change Agent" in the second cohort. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Bridgewater State University. His passion for empowering young people and communities, along with his education, continues to enhance the YMCA's core strategies of healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility for all.

YMCA Alumni partners with the YMCA of the Seven Council Fires for major project
YMCA Alumni members raised more than $550,000 in early 2022 and numerous volunteers traveled to Dupree, S.D., home of the YMCA of the Seven Council Fires (formerly the Sioux YMCA), to ready the land, and build the foundations on the property adjacent to the Y's small headquarters building for the first YMCA Tiny Home Village of four homes. The goal is to help alleviate some of the housing deficit on the reservation. The first tiny home is expected to be near completion this year. Future years will see more tiny homes in the village as well as several "twigs," -- small Y branches in outlying communities on the vast reservation
