Long Standing community resource anchor The Rotary Club of Harlem is excited to announce our upcoming events, especially the food-packing event "Food for the Soul," which will be held in partnership with The Outreach Program.

On November 16th, 2024, from 10 AM to 2 PM, at the Salvation Army Temple Corps, located at 540 Lenox Ave, NY, NY 10037, we will gather with fellow volunteers and community members to package over 10,000 meals for families and individuals in need within our community. We will also collaborate with the Rotary Club of Staten Island to hand out food baskets containing some of these packaged meals for Thanksgiving.

The Rotary Club sincerely appreciates your previous support and we aim to provide 35,000+ meals to hundreds of Harlemites so they can have hearty meals in these colder months.

Harlem Rotary requests $5,000 to procure 10,000 meals for our fellow Harlemites in need and to support our year-long programs that provide aid and resources to the Harlem community. Some events include:

  • Blessing Bag (packaging and distributing vital toiletries and hygiene products)
  • Financial Literacy Workshop
  • Read Across America
  • Health Harlem (Nutrition and health event)
  • Chanell E. Gatewood Scholarship (scholarship for middle and high school students)

All charitable donations will be made to the Rotary Club of Harlem Foundation, a 501(c)3. Donations can be made online at http://tiny.cc/rcohfoundation or via check made out to the Rotary Club of Harlem Foundation and sent to
