On the occasion of the fundraising event on October 16, 2024 14 members and guests joined in celebrating President Shawn's quest for running the 2024 NYC Marathon on behalf of Run for Kids and Hurricane Helene/Milton Relief
Lots of fun was had and attendees enjoyed a delicious meal and drinks and bid on several silent auction items among them high quality Mezcal donated by Mexican friend Paola Ortiz from the Rotary Club of Tehuacan Granadas in District 4185. Other kind donors to our silent auction were Nadine Homann, Sofija Sretenovic and your President Shawn himself. Sofija delighted the attending guests with a wonderful rendition of a Turkish song to honor our guests. Erener Kuraner then announced an Essay Contest for young people and Interactors and a Peace Conference in Istanbul in February. All NY Rotarians are invited to join! (see flyer on bottom with info)
