Our Oct 8 meeting featured Joel Bacon & Jenae Green of CSPAN, who (among other things) explained that what separates CSPAN from other networks is that the network empowers citizens to view public events in their entirety.

PACKING:  Help for Those in need
Collaboration with World Central Kitchen
This Saturday, June 27 several Rotarians led by President Larry Cohen and including Past President and PDG David Del Monte, others from Metro Club and Brooklyn/Queens Club helped package 18,000 pounds of fresh produce and dairy products into more than 1200 boxes of food headed for local communities in need.

On March 26th 2020 the first virtual Interclub was held between RCNY and the Rotary Club Bergamo Hospital 1 GXXIII. It was a spontaneously born collaboration due to the closeness of intent and feelings between the Clubs, as they are both serving in two of the cities most affected by COVID-19.

Health Care Struggles
We've received valuable information from our respected member Dr. George Onourah regarding Elmhurst Hospital Queens. After suffering 13 COVID-19 deaths in a 24-hour span last week, Elmhurst Hospital has become the epicenter of the growing novel coronavirus outbreak in New York City. we may have them represented at our Zoom meeting on April 9th.
